Meal prepping is a great way to make sure that you eat healthily. It’s SO much easier to stay on track with things if you have meals already prepped in the fridge ready to go. I know that I tend to eat a bunch of crap if I don’t have meals ready to go for me. Having a great meal prep container is really a huge help. Most times they stack so it doesn’t take up to much space in your fridge or freezer. Many are also dishwasher and microwave safe so that’s another check in the convenience box.

All of these containers are available with Amazon Prime with free 2-day shipping if you need them in a hurry. If you don’t already have Amazon Prime you can always sign up for a free 30-day trial here. If you’re a student you can snag a 6-month free trial of Amazon Prime here!

Some of these containers are BPA free plastic, some are glass, one, two or three compartments. ALL of them are awesome. My preference is for plastic but yours may not be. No matter what your style may be there is a container here for you.

Here are 7 meal prep containers and why I love them all from Amazon.

  1. First up is the EasyLunchboxes 3 compartment bento containers. This is a set of 4 so you may want to grab 2 packs (or three or four if you want to last the week for meals) and they come in 3 different color combinations. I love this size container. Fit a sandwich or a good lunch-sized portion of pasta, or stew or chili or whatever else you want. There are a few different options and these are reasonably priced.
  2. Next is the Freshware Meal Prep Containers. This set is a 21, 30 or 150 pack so it’s super easy to prep a full week of meals! The containers are dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe! These plastic containers are super versatile!
  3. Third, is the Enther Meal Prep Containers. These come in a 12 or 20 pack (or a 20 pack with portion cups and a 20 pack with 2 compartments) so you have plenty to last the week. They are a bit smaller than the Freshware containers and they are only one or two compartments. Not a bad thing, just a little different. These are also dishwasher, microwave, and freezer friendly.
  4. Fourth we have the Prep Naturals Meal Prep Containers. These containers are round and a single compartment. They come ina 30 or 60 pack so again, plenty for a full week of meals. They are also freezer and microwave safe, it doesn’t specifically say that they are dishwasher safe but I’m sure you can on the top rack.
  5. Is plastic not your thing? Well, this set is made for you! The C Crest Glass Meal Prep Containers come in a 10 pack of super fun colors (pink, blue, green, orange, light green or 5 colors). Not enough for a full week of meals but enough to get you through a few days. Buy 2 or three sets if you want to prep once a week and be done with it. This set is dishwasher and freezer safe. Microwave safe to (not the lids!). The price point is a little higher at but its glass so that’s expected. The snap-lock lids are great for spill resistance!
  6. 6th up we have another glass set, also from Prep Naturals. These are a 2 compartment container that comes in a 10 pack 24oz capacity or a 5 pack 29 oz capacity. These are a bit more pricy than the others on the list but you get non-plastic containers AND 2 compartments. They are also dishwasher safe (lids top rack only) and microwave safe (not the lids) and freezer safe.
  7. Lastly, we have the Bento Lunch Box Meal Prep Containers by Lucentee. This is another plastic set that comes in a 7 pack. If you want a full week of meals it’s best to buy 3 sets, but if you just want lunches then you’re set for the week. These containers are BPA-free, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe and have 3 compartments.

Plastic, Glass, 1, 2, 3 Compartments

No matter if you like glass, plastic, 1, 2, or 3 compartments there is an option for you. I just love all of the different options for portable meal storage. Meal prepping really does make a difference if you put the time in. 2 hours on a Sunday will save you many more during the week. Having a great container really does help. I remember before I had containers that I liked it was more difficult to get all my meals made and packed up well in my fridge. Getting the right container for your needs really makes the entire process simpler.

Meal prep doesn’t have to be complicated. Having a good container really makes a big impact. I know that I love making sure I have all the tools needed for success. I will write a future post about meal prep and tips and tricks to make it simpler. Subscribe to the blog to make sure you don’t miss it!

  1. I am delighted to have come across you post. My family meal preps with dedication, but I’m over our containers and their lids and have been considering moving to glass because I worry about microwaving the plastic containers over and over. Thank you for this post.
